Pipleline to Practice Foundation Scholarships
The Pipeline to Practice Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to diversifying the legal profession by providing diverse students with programming and attorney mentors throughout law school. Additionally, the Foundation has partnered with BARBRI to ensure that its students receive free access to BARBRI Law Preview’s law school prep course (before law school) and a BARBRI Bar Review course (when they graduate).

Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants is offering a $1,000 scholarship to students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution. AES Engineering Services is offering a $500 scholarship that will be awarded based on character, as determined by applicant essays submitted. This scholarship is available to students across a wide spectrum of fields of study; you are not required to be taking engineering courses to be eligible.

American Association for Justice (AAJ): Richard D. Hailey Law Student Scholarship
AAJ’s Minority Caucus awards a $5,000 scholarship to a minority Law Student member entering their first, second, or third year of law school. Exhibits an interest and proficiency in trial advocacy skills. Applicants must: express a desire to represent those who have been injured by negligence or misconduct of others; promote accountability and safety; demonstrate commitment to AAJ and dedication to its mission through involvement in an AAJ student chapter and Minority Caucus activities; and show a financial need.

American Association of Law Libraries (AALL): George A. Strait Minority Scholarship
Applicants must be enrolled in an ALA accredited library graduate school program or law school in the U.S.; be a member of a recognized minority group (as defined by current U.S. guidelines); and intend to pursue a career in law librarianship. Award amounts varied and based on available funding.

American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers (ACCFSLF) Writing Competition
ACCFSL seeks to recognize written contributions to the field of U.S. consumer financial services law. Eligible papers include books, book chapters, substantial book reviews, publishable articles, and student case notes or comments that were written within the 12 months preceding the deadline. Awards include a cash payment ($5,000 for books; $3,500 for articles, reviews, or book chapters; and $1,500 for student work).

This $1000 scholarship is an offer for all law students currently enrolled in law school. Ideally, the scholarship funds should be used to pay for qualified expenses. Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO) Graduate Scholarships
Scholarships up to $5,000 are available for Graduate students. Applications must be submitted no earlier than your senior undergraduate year and no later than your second year of graduate studies. Evaluation criteria include merit, character, serious of academic commitment, and relevance of your studies to national security interests and career ambitions. If you qualify for more than one of the scholarships, only one master application needs to be submitted.

Bisnar Chase Branch Out Scholarship
Offers a bi-yearly scholarship of $500 to a student who demonstrates through their personal statements that they are committed to expanding their education and using their education to improve their communities. The Davis–Putter Scholarship Fund provides financial support for students who are active and emerging organizers in progressive movements for liberation, self-determination and social and economic justice in their communities. The Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI) sponsors the H. Every applicant must be an active National JACL member. JACL membership is open to everyone of any ethnic background. All who meet the eligibility criteria are welcomed and encouraged to apply. Earl Warren Scholarships are awarded to law school applicants with exceptional academic records who are actively engaged with civil rights and public interest work. Robert Masur Fellowship in Civil Liberties
The fellowship competition is open to first-year law students who intend to carry out significant activities during the summer (in between their first and second year) in the areas of civil rights and/or civil liberties. The fellowship comes with a $3,000 stipend. American Bar Association: Legal Opportunity Scholarship
The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship is offered to first-year law students. The program’s mission is to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance for them to attend and complete their legal education. This scholarship grants $15,000 of financial aid to 20 – 25 incoming diverse law students over their three years in law school. To be eligible to receive an ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship, an applicant must be an entering, first-year law student in academic year 2025; be a member of an underrepresented racial and/or ethnic minority (e.g. Black/African American, Native American, Hispanic American, Asian/Pacific Islander); have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 at their undergraduate institution; are required to demonstrate admission to and plans to enroll at an ABA-accredited law school.

American Bar Association: LGBT Public Interest Scholarship Program
This scholarship is intended for law students and/or recent law school graduates studying for the Bar who are either LGBTQ+ or who will be working in the LGBTQ+ space doing public interest work. It will provide financial support to a first, second- or third-year law student, or recent law graduate to enable the student or recent law graduate to work in the LGBTQ+ public interest arena. One or more scholarships of up to $5,000 each are awarded annually. Applicants must be in good standing in an ABA accredited law school, or a recent law graduate from an ABA accredited law school still studying for the Bar Exam; and have a secured an internship or job for Summer 2025 (which may extend beyond the Summer) and/or the Fall of 2025 with a public interest organization engaged in legal or policy work with a direct impact on LGBTQ individuals.

Banner & Witcoff: Donald W. Banner Diversity Fellowship
Banner Witcoff will award $5,000 in law school tuition or other school-related expenses to Fellowship recipients upon completion of their 1L clerkship in the firm’s summer program. If a 1L student returns to the firm’s summer program for any part of their 2L summer and accepts a full-time position with Banner Witcoff, the student will receive an additional $5,000 financial award payable upon acceptance. The maximum award possible for any Fellowship recipient is $10,000. 1L law students who meet the selection criteria and have entered a JD program at an ABA-accredited law school are eligible to apply. The scholarship was created in 2013 as part of the law firm’s commitment to helping law students who need financial assistance achieve their academic and professional dreams. To be considered for the scholarship, the student must be a member of an ethnic, racial, or other minority; demonstrate a commitment to issues of diversity within their community; be a U.S. citizen currently attending an accredited law school within the U.S.; have an academic achievement of a minimum 3.0 GPA; and have completed at least one semester of classes at an accredited law school. For more than three decades CBCF, in partnership with CBC Spouses, has awarded scholarships to talented and deserving students. DRI Law Student Diversity Scholarship
DRI‘s annual Law Student Diversity Scholarship program is open to rising second-and third-year law students who come from historically marginalized groups (as defined by U.S. guidelines). To be eligible, the applicant must be a full-time student. Evening students qualify for consideration if they have completed one-third or more of the total credit hours required for a degree by the applicant’s law school. One scholarship for $10,000 and two scholarships for $5,000 each will be awarded to applicants who best meet the following criteria: demonstrated academic excellence, service to the profession, service to the community, service to the cause of diversity.

Fish & Richardson: 1L Diversity Fellowship Program
Fish’s 1L Diversity Fellowship Program provides annual fellowships to first-year law students throughout the country. The program represents a key component of the firm’s ongoing initiative to recruit, retain, and advance attorneys who will contribute to the diversity of their practice and of the legal profession. This program is comprised of four components. Each selected fellow receives: a paid summer associate position in one of Fish‘s domestic offices during the summer; mentorship throughout the academic year by members of the firm; participation in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 1L Scholars Program; and a scholarship award of up to $30,000 – $5,000 to all 1L Diversity Fellowship recipients upon completion of their 1L summer clerkship with the firm, $10,000 to those returning as a 2L summer associate at Fish for the full summer program, and $15,000 to those who join the firm as an associate after law school graduation.

Goodwin 1L Diversity Fellowship Program
The 1L Diversity Fellowship program provides first-year law students with the opportunity to be a 1L summer associate in Goodwin’s 10-week summer program, following their first year of law school. 1L Diversity Fellows are compensated for the full 10-week program at the standard summer associate salary; and will be considered for a 2L summer associate position at Goodwin, compensated at the standard summer associate salary plus an additional $50,000 scholarship distributed in three installments. The Law Student Diversity Scholarship from Michigan Auto Law awards an annual $1,000 scholarship that is offered to incoming and current law students who demonstrate a strong commitment to issues of diversity as they pursue their legal career. The LMJ Scholarship is a program that seeks to nurture the academic and professional careers of outstanding law students. The scholarship is open to students who have been accepted to an ABA-accredited law school on a full-time basis; an interest in corporate law; demonstrated community service and leadership qualities; a financial need; and a commitment to inclusion. TMCF offers a variety of scholarship and fellowship programs, both merit- and need-based. Applicants must attend a member-school (which includes UDC and UDC Law). Scholarships for Women
American Association for Justice (AAJ): Mike Edison Law Student Scholarship
Each year, the Women Trial Lawyers Caucus awards a $5,000 scholarship to a female student entering her third year of law school (the student can be enrolled in a three-year day program or four-year night program) who has demonstrated a commitment to a career as a trial lawyer, along with dedication to upholding and defending the principles of the Constitution, and to the concept of a fair trial, the adversary system, and a just result for the injured, the accused, and those whose rights are jeopardized. To apply, you must be an AAJ Law Student member, enrolled in an ABA-approved law school, and submit a complete application package.

American Association of University Women Educational Foundation: Selected Professions Fellowships
The Selected Professions Fellowship Program promotes gender equity for women by providing funding in support of those pursuing a full-time course of study in targeted degree programs where women’s representation has traditionally been low. They carry a stipend of $20,000 and are disbursed in two equal payments over the fellowship term, which runs from July 1 – June 30, annually.

Kerri Castellini Women’s Leadership Scholarship
Offering a $1,000 scholarship for a female or female-identifying student pursuing a post-secondary education. P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship
P.E.O.’s International Peace Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for international students to pursue graduate study in the United States and Canada. The maximum annual award is $12,500.

Women in Defense: WID Scholar Program
The scholarship is available for women currently enrolled in a part-time or full-time program at an accredited college or university. The candidate must demonstrate interest in pursuing a career related to national security or defense, demonstrate financial need, be a female citizen of the U.S., and have a minimum 3.25 GPA.

Scholarships for Students Impacted by Disability, Injury or Illness
Alexander Graham Bell’s Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: George H. Nofer Scholarship for Law
The George H. Nofer Scholarship for Law is for full-time graduate students with bilaterally moderate to profound hearing loss who are attending full-time an accredited law school. Up to three awards of $5,000 each may be awarded per year. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following: 1) use listening and spoken language as your primary mode of communication; 2) have a pre-lingual hearing loss (diagnosed prior to your fourth birthday); and 3) have been accepted at or are enrolled in an accredited law school as a full-time student for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Offering a semi-annual $1,000 scholarship for college students who have suffered a serious injury, and are committed to demonstrating a determination to rebuild their lives by attending college. Requires a personal essay on specified topic. See the website for application details.

The Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance Scholarship
The Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance will award $4,000 to one student each semester whose life has been impacted by cancer. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to college students in their pursuit of higher education who have battled cancer at any point of their lives or who have a parent, sibling, immediate family member or close friend that has battled or is currently fighting cancer. Applicants must be full-time at an accredited college or university, a U.S. citizen, in academic “Good Standing” and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher to be eligible.

National Collegiate Cancer Foundation
The National Collegiate Cancer Foundation was established to provide services and support to young adults whose lives have been impacted by cancer and who have continued with their education throughout treatment or after their treatment. National Federation of the Blind Scholarship Program
There are thirty $8,000 merit-based scholarships currently available to be awarded to blind scholars in recognition of their achievements and professional aspirations. All scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, community service, and leadership. Eligible applicants must be: 1) legally blind in both eyes; 2) residing in the U.S.; 3) must be pursuing or planning to pursue a post-secondary degree full-time or working full-time and pursuing a degree part-time; and 4) must participate in the NFB national convention in all its scheduled scholarship program activities.

ABC Law Centers: Birth Injury Lawyers Cerebral Palsy Scholarship
ABC Law Centers: Birth Injury Lawyers awards one scholarship per year in the amount of $1,000 to a student who has cerebral palsy. Our annual scholarship is designed to increase awareness about cerebral palsy (CP) and celebrate the achievements of those with cerebral palsy. To be considered, applicants must submit a 750–1000-word response to the following prompt: How has cerebral palsy shaped your academic interests and passions?

Hudson County Bar Foundation (HCBF) Scholarships
Multiple scholarships are available for Hudson County, New Jersey, residents who are attending law school or who have been accepted to law school. Students must: be bona fide residents of Hudson County; demonstrate financial need; and submit an application that includes a personal statement, two current letters of recommendation, an academic transcript, and other documentation.

Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia: Ida Foreman Fleisher Fund
The scholarship, established in memory of Ida Fleisher, provides scholarships for women, preferably Jewish, pursuing a graduate degree. Eligibility is limited to women who have a hometown or attend school in the Greater Philadelphia tri-state area. Grants range from $2,000-$8,000 and are distributed to the recipient’s school for tuition purposes only.

Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association Foundation: Elizabeth Barrett Fitzwater Memorial Scholarship
A $2,500 scholarship for a deserving second year law student who demonstrates a strong interest in practicing law in the public service/public interest sector in the south Hampton Roads area of Virginia, and who meets the criteria established by the Selection Committee.
