Classrooms
All classrooms are available to student 24/7 if they have a university student ID. Additionally each classroom can be secured from the inside by pressing the lock out button just above the inside door handle. The lock out will be released when the door is opened from the inside or when a limited number of law school administration, staff and Campus Police access the room. This allows students to increase personal security if they feel threatened.

Student ID Cards (ONEcards) & Building Access
Your Student ID Card (ONEcard) will let you into the law school building 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. There are card readers at the Connecticut Avenue door and the Yuma Street door. If you have paid for parking, your ID will also give you access to the parking garage (entrance on Yuma street). Once you are in the building, your ID will give you access to classrooms and other areas as designated. You will need to keep your ID updated by going to a Hot Spot every week or two.
At the Hot Spot, you will need to hold your ID up to the circular symbol until the light goes from blue to green indicating that it has been updated. If you fail to update your ID, it will expire. Hot Spots are located near the elevators on the lower level, fourth floor and fifth floor of the law school building.
Any unforeseen school closings and/or delays will be posted on the UDC Law website and social media and will be updated as new information becomes available.
Questions regarding UDC ONEcards can be directed to ONEcard@udc.edu. Questions or issues regarding building access or maintenance can be direct to Michael Harris (he, him, his) at mbharris@udc.edu.
